I've removed the menu system for right now. I am currently reorganizing the database that will eventually drive Mercury Capri . com. When I first started making databases I was still a relative novice. Now with more experience under my belt, the database for MCDC has to be reorganized to make it easier to enter new articles. Once complete and I have the links corrected I will add a new menu.

I had receieved some complaints about the javascript menus as some people didn't have javascript enabled or it just didn't work well with certain browsers. I will replace the menus with something a little more conventional so it will work with for everyone.

We've moved our servers again. It looks like it was pretty seamless.

I've gone through the website and checked on what has been completed and what has not. 50% of the showroom is complete. I have a list of what needs to be added next in order to complete the showroom. Once that is complete it's onto the garage.

I hope everyone has a great holiday season! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Merry Yule, Happy Winter, etc. etc! In 2007 I hope to make Mercury Capri . COM, as well as it's derivatives .NET, .ORG & .INFO, more of a force in the Capri-World. There will be many updates in the next 6 weeks and hopfully through out the year.

You can check out my other project to see why I haven't been working on Mercury Capri . Com. It's mostly complete and soon I am hoping it won't need to be babysat much longer.

See you in the new yeat!

Artistic Capri

Here is an artists rendering of what a new Capri could look like. Pretty awesome! I'm rather disappointed that Ford hasn't made a new Capri yet, and considering thier financial condition they may not make one for a while, or ever.

ford-capri.startpagina.nl is an awesome site filled with all kinds of Capri related links and info! Check it out!

I've also found a new source for 1971-1977 Mercury/Ford Capri windshield gaskets and locks! You should contact Erik at PS Auto Glass, Inc.. You can contact him toll free at 866-565-9557 or 608-756-9557. Thier website is www.psautoglass.com. The gasket is $80, the locking strip is $20. Shipping is $5-$10 depending it's destination. Gaskets may also be available for the rear glass as well. Contact Erik for more info.

Brembos!
Brembos!

Look what I picked up! A set of Brembo rotors for my 1976 Capri. Very inexpensive, and I got them locally here in Chattanooga. Want to get some for yourself? They are $18.75 each + $7 surcharge for shipping. You can get them at an O'Reilly's Auto Part Stores. Ask for part number 25017. It will take a day or two for the store to get the info from head office and anywhere from 3 to 5 days before they show up.

Don't have an O'Reilly's parts store near you? Contact Mercury Capri . Com and we'll get you a set!

And some people say you can't get these anywhere except one place.

Welcome to the new Mercury Capri . Com! This is the new look of the website dedicated to the Mercury & Ford Capri! I am hoping this will make the website easier to navitgate and more user friendly! To navigate and get anywhere on the site you can use the menu bar above. Rather than clicking and going through 2, 3, 4 or even 5 pages to get to where you want you can now just use the pull down menus and get there immediately!

I am still testing the links and making sure they all work. There is a lot of information that isn't on the website yet, but hopefully over the next little while I'll be able to get it all in.

I've been looking at message forums/bases as well as emailling lists for you as well. I am not sure where to go on this as there are already excellent resources for Capri enthusiasts on the web with the Capri-List for EuroCapris, Capri Group for OzCapris and Four Eyed Pride for the FoxCapris.

I originally started mercurycapri.com as an encyclopedia of Capri knowledge, tips, tricks, history and more. I hope I can live up to my own expectations soon.
